The Site:
CrazyBabe is the site of record producer turned erotic photographer, Bob Coulter. And in Crazy Babe, he steps on the line separating art and pornography by featuring and photographing girls feigning craziness by disrobing and showing off their bodies in sets that are both campy and glossy.

The Content:
CrazyBabe's content has a very edgy, “rock-and-roll” feel that's probably been drawn from Bob Coulter's experience as an independent record producer working with the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The B-52s, Richard Hell and The Rolling Stone's Keith Richards, to name a few. And the contents are shot with such quality and clarity and true to the “sex-and-drugs-and-rock-and-roll” mantra that, if MTV featured nudity, CrazyBabes would best represent it.
CrazyBabe is well presented, with the current photo set acting as the front page and an image taken with the set acting as the backdrop as you browse through the contents, before you're brought into Crazy Babe's respectable content of 242 photo sets and 18+ video sets. Yes, there's certainly a lot more photos than videos but that can easily be overlooked since CrazyBabe is, first and foremost, a photography site. And since Crazy Babe is Bob Coulter's personal website, you're guaranteed that what you'll be seeing here is exclusive to Crazy Babe. Also, Bob Coulter's work on CrazyBabe certainly looks dark but it's more of a slick, film-noir, Frank Miller-like kind of dark than the obviously fake and plasticky darkness that goth sites try to present.
Browsing through the extensive collection of all the sets featured on CrazyBabe going back to December 2000 is best described as exhausting after a time but it's still worth looking at because every set is unique. Although it's all softcore with solo glamour sets and some sapphic lesbian action from time to time with a few finger and object penetration and even some watersports thrown in, the sets do look varied thanks to the different concepts and the use of costumes, sets and props plus the use of a lot of fetish elements in the photos. There's even a set where a girl uses rosary beads and a tiny figurine of a crucified Jesus to please herself! As for the models on CrazyBabe, you'll be surprised to find a few popular pornstars here who do fit CrazyBabe's mould of slick and edgy girls who can be crazy at times, with the likes of Janine Lindemulder, Brittany Andrews, and Hollie Stevens, to name a few.
The few videos that CrazyBabe has can either be streamed or downloaded in .WMV (800x450, 1.14 Mbps) format and are shot gonzo-style with no background music and just natural sounds. But thankfully, unlike most gonzo videos, you won't hear the cameraman, or Bob Coulter in this case, talking behind the camera and asking the models some questions or barking orders on how to pose. But then again, it could've been just edited out.
As for the meat-and-potatoes of CrazyBabes, or the photos for short, they're all available in standard (1000x667) resolution. And again, these photos are all shot in high-quality, high-fashion style with a little pornographic content thrown in, they wouldn't look out of place in a coffee table book.
CrazyBabes does come with a few bonus stuff for its members, like a link where you can order signed, large-sized „fine art“ prints of the images that can measure from 8“ x 10“ up to 24“ x 36“ as well as order photo books of some of Bob Coulter's works plus a number of links to some of ob Coulter's favorite sites.

The Criticism:
By only displaying the month and year of all their sets and not giving any info as to when CrazyBabe exactly updates the contents, keeping track of the sizable content is a hard task, although the updates do seem to come on a regular basis.
And although CrazyBabe is really focused on the top-notch photo content, a few more videos wouldn't hurt, most especially when some high-quality fetish sites do offer both types of content.
Also, considering that some photo sets have more than 30+ pages of content – or over 600+ photos - ZIP file downloads of a set as an available option would be a welcome addition.

The Conclusion:
It's hard to argue against the high-quality and edgy content that CrazyBabes presents so if you're looking for top-notch quality fetish sets that border on the dark and broody film-noir style, then I have no problem recommending Crazy babe to you because you'll definitely get all that and more. For a whole lot of photo content the $29.95 monthly access is justified.
